ABOUT YOUR TOUR

Welcome aboard our enchanting sightseeing tour as we embark on a journey through the historic wonders of St Abbs, Holy Island, and Alnwick Castle. Nestled along the breathtaking Northumberland coast, this tour promises a captivating blend of natural beauty, medieval history, and cinematic allure.

Our adventure begins in St Abbs, a picturesque fishing village renowned for its stunning coastal cliffs and vibrant marine life. Feel the fresh sea breeze as we explore the charming harbor, where fishing boats bob gently in the water. Marvel at the dramatic landscape that has captured the hearts of filmmakers and nature enthusiasts alike.

Next, we set our sights on Holy Island, a place steeped in spirituality and history. Connected to the mainland by a causeway, Holy Island boasts the iconic Lindisfarne Castle and the ancient Lindisfarne Priory. Immerse yourself in the serenity of this sacred island, where the interplay of history and nature creates a truly magical atmosphere.

Our journey then leads us to the majestic Alnwick Castle, a fortress that has stood the test of time for over a millennium. As one of the grandest castles in England, Alnwick Castle has been featured in film and television productions, including the famous Harry Potter series. Wander through its magnificent rooms, explore the beautifully landscaped gardens, and discover the secrets that lie within its historic walls.

Throughout the tour, our knowledgeable guides will share fascinating stories and insights, bringing the rich history and cultural significance of each destination to life. Whether you're a history buff, a nature lover, or simply seeking a day of unparalleled beauty, our Alnwick Castle, Holy Island & Scottish Borders tour is an unforgettable experience that promises to leave you with lasting memories. Join us for a day of discovery and exploration as we unveil the treasures of Northumberland's coastal and castle treasures.

BEFORE YOUR TOUR

• We recommend you bring warm and/or waterproof clothing, no matter what the forecast appears to be…Scotland’s weather is very unpredictable!

• Don’t forget your camera to capture all the lovely scenery and wildlife you’ll encounter on your tour, which you can later share with us online

• We must remind you that while picturesque and quaint, many of the suppliers in smaller towns across the Highlands do still prefer cash payments

• You are more than welcome to bring along a carry-on bag on the tour which can be packed with essentials for the day, but we would advise keeping this bag as light and small as possible to maximise your comfort on board

• Food is readily available at the majority of stops on tour, but you are absolutely more than welcome to bring snacks and a cold packed lunch on board. Hot drinks and soups are permitted but only if they have a secure lid.
